Most people reading this article will be looking for the biggest music festivals in Spain which feature some of the world’s most famous artists and bands. A wide range of musical genres can be encompassed in this section ranging from rock and electronic dance music to pop, hip-hop and more. Part 1 is where you’ll find these blockbuster music events which attract the largest number of concert-goers.
In total there are more than 900 music festivals in Spain with the vast majority of these events not attracting huge crowds. Part 2 of the article describes some of these smaller music festivals in Spain which still attract big crowds and well-known stars from around the world.
And finally, in Part 3 of the article we’ve moved away from the most popular genres amongst young people to focus on other types of music. Barcelona Beach Festival | BBF
The BBF (Barcelona Beach Festival) is an annual electronic music festival which has previously been held in Sant Adrià del Besòs which is 6km along the coast to the north of Barcelona The festival, which has been taking place since 2014, features top electronic music artists and DJs, with performances on two stages overlooking the sea and two enormous dance floors on the beach. The event has attracted world-renowned artists such as David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, DJ Snake and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
However, the festival did not take place in 2023 due to the refusal of the City Council of Sant Adrià de Besòs to grant the necessary licenses and the impossibility of finding another location with the ideal conditions to hold the festival within a workable timeframe. The organizers have expressed their commitment to finding a new location for the festival and have announced plans to resume the event in 2024.

In 2023 the festival changed its name to Alma – Festival Jardins de Pedralbes and relocated to Barcelona’s Poble Espanyol. Ebrovisión Festival in Miranda de Ebro

Festival Les Nits de Barcelona

Les Nits de Barcelona is a summer music festival held in the Palau de Pedralbes gardens in Barcelona for a month beginning in the last week of June.
