C'an Pastilla Mallorca

C’an Pastilla Tourist Information

You are here: Home / Mallorca Tourist Information / C’an Pastilla Tourist Information

Can Pastilla is a long established holiday resort just minutes from Palma de Mallorca airport. In fact the main flight path sends planes over the resort every couple of minutes during the day. Holidaymakers are predominantly Spanish, British and German which is reflected in the type of bars and restaurants that line the seafront.

Most of C’an Pastilla’s beach is a western extension of the 5km long Playa de Palma which has golden sand and plenty sunbeds with superb views towards the mountains which look down on the city of Palma to the west. The C’an Pastilla beach ends at the small marina called Club Nautic Sant Antoni where a smart restaurant offers great views the whole way across the Playa de Palma. Just on the other side of the marina is the very quaint Cala Estancia which is a separate beach and is well sheltered on both sides.

Recommended Hotels in C’an Pastilla

On the main beach there are many hotels right on the seafront and one street back which stretch from C’an Pastilla all the way to Arenal some 5km to the east.

When booking a hotel in C’an Pastilla do bear in mind that this is a rather old resort with many relatively run down properties. The resort is also a mere stone’s throw from Palma airport so aircraft noise can disturb some visitors. Here are a few hotels we’re happy to recommend but be sure to look around before commiting to a reservation.

  • Located right on a beautiful long sandy beach half way between Can Pastilla and Arenal is the 4-star HM Gran Fiesta Hotel. It has both an outdoor and indoor pool and there is a spa for those wishing to be pampered. There are many bars and restaurants near the hotel but in the low season there are not a lot open. Fortunately the hotel provides a very good quality of food and there is always plenty of variety. It is not too far from Palma and there is a direct bus which runs along the sea front.
  • In a privileged position right on the sea front in Can Pastilla is the 4-star Aguamarina Boutique Hotel which is only 5km from Palma and is a great choice for those wishing to combine a beach holiday with a city break. There is a regular bus service which stops very near the hotel. The staff are all very friendly and there are spectacular views from the terrace overlooking the beach and from the bar itself.
  • Just a short 10 minute transfer from the airport and a 5 minute stroll to the beach is the 3-star Hotel Linda which offers good value family accommodation. All rooms have balconies with views of either the pool or the hotel gardens. It has a swimming pool and a tennis court and the restaurant proves popular with guests.

C’an Pastilla Nightlife

As for bars and restaurants they change hands with such frequency that it’s difficult to recommend one over another. Ricky’s Tavern and the Manchester pub are popular amongst British tourists and Poppy’s bar is a good place to go for Sky TV. The fish restaurant on the eastern side of Cala Estancia is highly recommended.

In general you’ll find a selection of Spanish, British and German options, just take a short stroll from the marina as far as the sports area next to the Fontanellas Playa hotel and you’ll get a good idea of what’s available to you.
