Valencia Club de Fútbol were amongst the elite of European football clubs at the dawn of this new millennium when they were Spanish champions and runners up on two occasions in the Champions League. A severe financial crisis forced them to sell many of their star players and to delay plans to move to a new stadium. Whilst not the force they once were in La Liga they remain one of Spain’s top clubs.
The beautiful Mediterranean location of the city together with the past successes of its football team certainly put Valencia on the map as far as football tourism is concerned. Many football fans book city breaks to coincide with a match at the 55,000 seater Mestalla Stadium.

Valencia FC Kick-Off Times: Unlike the other major football associations of Europe the Spanish FA only announce the confirmed day and time of matches about 7 to 10 days before they are due to be played. Of course this can cause some concern for visiting fans but in most cases this is rarely an issue provided that you’re in Valencia from Saturday afternoon until Monday. There are a few Monday night fixtures during the year and some midweek fixtures. If you have any concerns just mention them on the booking form and a member of our English speaking sales team will be able to help you out. Once official confirmation of kick-off times is announced at the Spanish FA it is published on the Valencia CF website.
Getting There: The Mestalla stadium is very close to the city centre. You can take a taxi or number 10 bus from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento to Aragón which is very close to the stadium. Alternatively, use the small underground system departing from Xàtiva (outside the main Estació del Nord) and take the green line number 5 to the stop nearest the stadium at Aragón.
Mestalla Stadium Plan: This map of Valencia’s football stadium indicates the seating areas which you can select when ordering your tickets.
Ticket Orders, Collections and Deliveries: At Spanish Fiestas we have been providing tickets for Valencia FC matches since 1998. In association with our ticket partners we can arrange to have match tickets delivered to your hotel in Valencia. Deliveries to other types of accommodation in the region are also possible when there is someone to sign for their delivery in the case of private holiday rentals or if there is a 24 hour reception service as is often the case at serviced apartments and hostels. Deliveries cannot be delivered to postboxes for security reasons.
Let us know once you have booked your Valencia Hotel and we will have the tickets delivered to the hotel reception in an envelope with your name on it. Please book the hotel in the same name as you book the tickets to avoid confusion. Our courier always collects a receipt of delivery from the reception so that there is no danger of tickets ‘going missing’ after delivery. You should order Valencia tickets as early as possible to avoid disappointment. The above prices are subject to change at short notice though prices are guaranteed once we have received payment.
