Weather in Spain
The weather in Spain varies considerably between regions. Madrid and the
centre experiences a continental climate which locals describe as "9 months of
winter and 3 months of hell".
Inland Andalucia scorches in the summer with the town of Ecija near Seville
known as "El sartén de España" ... the frying pan of Spain. Temperaturs have
occasionally touched on 50ºC in this region on the odd day during the last few
summers.
Some of the most beautiful scenery in Spain lies along the north Atlantic
coast from the French border across to Galicia where stunning green valleys
result from the high rainfall totals.
