Cala San Vicente Information
Cala San Vicente, or Cala de Sant Vicenc as it's known locally, is a tiny
resort on the northwest coast of Mallorca near
Pollensa. Although small scale tourism has arrived there it still remains
true to its origin as a fishing village.
The resort consists of three small coves with crystal clear blue water and
three small beaches separated by rocky outcrops. The Cavall Bernat is the
impressive mountain as you look out to sea.
There is little in the way of nightlife in Cala San Vicente apart from a handful
of small restaurants and there isn't very much to entertain children in the
evening.
However, if you're just looking to get away from it all then it's well worth
consideration. The Hotel Cala San Vicenc from the Relais and Chateaux list is
the choice hotel in town. It may be a little isolated but with its fine pool
area and exquisite dining there's no need to venture far from the hotel if pure
relaxation is your aim. The
Don Pedro orHoposa Niu are less expensive options.
The town of Pollensa and the resort of Puerto Pollensa are both nearby so you
don't need to travel far if you're looking for some diversity. In addition
you're at the northern edge of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains which stretch
the full length of Mallorca's northwest coast
which is a stunning drive all the way down to Andratx.
