which are kept in excellent condition with very tidy fairways and
greens. The old course was designed by Bernhard von Limburger in
1968 and has wide fairways and large elevated greens. The new course
was designed by Paul Krings in 1991 and has beautiful fairways and
wonderful views over the Mediterranean and Gibralter. Both
courses offer a challenge to players of all levels due to the
various tee positions. It also hosts an International Golf
Academy where classes can taken in a variety of languages either in
groups or on an individual basis. The driving range and practise
areas are amongst the biggest and best in Spain.
The Atalaya Golf and Country Club is the Headquarters of the P.G.A
of Europe during the winter and host the Annual Team Championship.
The complex is also home to the 4 star Atalaya Park hotel which
provides visitors with a whole range of sports and leisure
facilities including swimming pools, tennis courts, a health club
and a nautical sports centre many of which are free of charge to
hotel clients, making this an ideal place not only to play golf but
to relax, enjoy the amenities provided and savour the marvellous
panoramic views of the surrounding area. Old
