Cheap Real Madrid Tickets

Very few Real Madrid tickets go on public sale because the Santiago Bernabeu stadium has a capacity of 75,000 of which practically all seats are taken up by season ticket holders. Here are a few ways you might try to acquire tickets.

1) In the days before the arrival of the so called 'Galacticos' (Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo, Beckham) it was possible to call the ticket line of the Caja Madrid Bank on 902 324324 to pre-order up to 6 Real Madrid tickets and pay by credit card. It's worth a try but don't hold your breath as the line is usually engaged and if you do get through they never seem to have availability. If you are fortunate you can collect the tickets at the stadium or from a specified branch of Caja Madrid.

2) Ticket booths ("taquillas") are located by gate 42 of the stadium (on C/ Concha Espina). If there are any tickets they usually open two days before a match from about 11:00 to 13:00 hours and from 18:00 to 21:00. On matchday they might open in the morning and from 18:00 until kick-off time. Unfortunately, they only ever seem to have tickets available for members to collect.

3) On the day of a match touts congregate outside gate 42 and it is possible to buy from them. Prices are very high and don't believe anyone showing you a postcard of the stadium and showing you what a great seat he is selling to you. In addition, forgeries have been found at the big games and plain clothed policemen often patrol this area to discourage the black market. This is a method to be avoided.   An email we received after the Real Madrid v Barcelona game last season informed us that ".... I was advised not to take any ticket off the touts as 98% of them are fake so I watched the game from a bar beside the stadium."

4) For peace of mind you can buy Real Madrid tickets through this website which are supplied by a fully bonded travel agency. Tickets are then delivered to your hotel reception in Madrid.
