Madrid to Andalucia Tour
This private tour begins in Madrid then heads south to the great Moorish
cities of Cordoba, Seville and Granada. Other highlights include Ronda and
Toledo.
DAY 1
Arrive in Madrid and transfer to your city centre hotel. Open air bus
tour of the city if jetlag permits! Overnight Madrid.
DAY 2
Day trip to the medieval city of Toledo. Overnight Madrid.
DAY 3
Drive across the plains of Castilla-La Mancha into Andalucia arriving
mid-afternoon in Cordoba. Evening visit to tapas bars. Overnight Cordoba.
DAY 4
Visit Cordoba’s Mezquita, the grandest mosque ever constructed by the Moors
in Spain. Leave Cordoba and head over to Seville. Attend an evening flamenco
performance. Overnight Seville.
DAY 5
Sightseeing in Seville - take in the atmosphere of one of Spain’s most
exciting and emblematic cities. Overnight Seville.
DAY 6
Today we head south to Jerez de la Frontera for a visit to a sherry bodega.
We continue on a scenic journey through the ‘Pueblos Blancos’ via Arcos de la
Frontera and Grazalema national park arriving in the stunningly located town of
Ronda. Overnight Ronda.
DAY 7
Morning sightseeing in Ronda including Spain's oldest bullring then off we go
to Granada where you can spend the late afternoon wandering around the
Moorish quarter (the Albaicín) and watch the sunset over the Alhambra. Evening
visit to some superb tapas bars. Overnight Granada.
DAY 8
Visit the magnificent Alhambra Palace, the jewel of Moorish Spain. In
the afternoon you can take an optional balloon flight over the city. Overnight
Granada.
DAY 9
This morning we drive back to Madrid for your last night in Spain and dinner
at Botin's restaurant ... "the finest restaurant in the world" according to
Ernest Hemingway. Overnight Madrid.
DAY 10
Transfer to Madrid airport for your return flight home. Train Excursions
