Sierra Nevada Hotels

Pradollano is the town which is home to the ski resort in Sierra Nevada. It is built on the side of a mountain and has hotels all the way up. There is a chairlift which goes from the centre of town up to the Parador and has two jumping off points. This does stop at about 7pm.

Advanced booking of accommodation is highly recommended as the resort tends to fill up especially at weekends when many skiers come up from Granada and during Easter week when people come from all over Spain and Europe.

Sierra Nevada 5 Star Hotels

Hotel Vincci Selección Rumaykiyya
The Vincci Rumaykiyya Hotel is the only 5 star hotel in Sierra Nevada. It is located at the very top of Pradollano and offers fantastic views over the mountains. There is a chairlift which runs between the hotel and the centre of the town and also the hotel runs a free transport service to the main square. The spacious and comfortable bedrooms are decorated in a typical alpine style and all have satellite TV and free internet access. The Spa within the hotel offers the perfect chance to relax after a day's skiing as does the aprés-ski cafe. There is an excellent a la carte restaurant in the hotel which serves a wide range of both international and typical regional cuisine.

Sierra Nevada 4 Star Hotels

Melia Sierra Nevada
The 4 star Melia Sierra Nevada is located in the centre of Pradollano just 100 metres from the ski lifts. It was totally renovated in 2003 and is a modern hotel with all the facilities you would expect. It has a heated swimming pool, a gym, a sauna, a jacuzzi and a Turkish bath for relaxing after a day on the ski slopes. Entertainment is available for children in the mini-club from 5pm until 9pm. The buffet restaurant offers breakfast and dinner while the a la carte restaurant serves lunch and dinner. There is also a snack bar which is open all day and a piano bar open in the evenings.

Melia Sol y Nieve
The Melia Sol y Nieve is also located in the centre of Pradollano. It has rooms for one to four people and suites all of which have views of the town or the mountains. The Mulhacen Bar, which has lovely views, is a perfect spot for aprés-ski and is open from 10am until midnight. There is a restaurant within the hotel which offers both a la carte and buffet service and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel spa has a pool, saunas, steam bath, jacuzzi, gym and massages available to help relax after a day's skiing. (minimum stay 4 nights)

Sierra Nevada 3 Star Hotels

Mont Blanc Hotel
The Mont Blanc Hotel is a 3 star hotel located in the centre of Pradollano near the main ski lifts. The hotel was fully renovated in 2000. The bedrooms all have central heating, Canal+ TV and fully equipped bathroom and can have extra beds put in them to allow for school groups. Most of the rooms have terraces with views of the town.

Santa Cruz Hotel
Both of the Santa Cruz hotels are located 9 kilometres from Pradollano on the road from Granada. The Santa Cruz hotel has 66 bedrooms and 25 bungalows with open fire place, central heating and hydromassage bath. There is a bar, restaurant, 2 football pitches, tennis court and a gym for those not exhausted after skiing all day.

Hotel Rural Mirasierra
The 3 star Hotel Rural Mirasierra is a recently built hotel located at about a 20 minute drive from Sierra Nevada and 15 kilometres from Granada. All of the bedrooms have central heating and air conditioning, en suite bathroom and a TV and most have a terrace. There is an open plan lounge with enclosed terrace with marvellous views of one of the most beautiful valleys of the Sierra Nevada national park.

Sierra Nevada 2 Star Hotels

El Ciervo Hotel
The 2 star El Ciervo Hotel is 400 metres uphill from the centre of Pradollano but can be reached by the chairlift which runs from the centre of town up to the Parador. It has 14 double rooms and 36 large rooms which can have multiple beds in them making it an ideal hotel for school groups. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, central heating and a TV. It has a restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner and a large TV lounge.

Hotel Rural Alicia Carolina
This 2 star hotel is a traditional Andalusian hotel in an ideal location for those who wish to combine a skiing holiday with a trip to Granada city. It is in the pretty village of Monachil just 25 minutes from Sierra Nevada and about 10 minutes from Granada. It is a small hotel with only 10 rooms most of which have amazing views of the Sierra Nevada and the surroundings. There is a very cosy and relaxed feel about this hotel.
