Santiago de Compostela City Breaks
Santiago de Compostela is a newcomer to the European city break scene due to
its relatively inaccessible location in the far north west of Spain in the
beautiful Celtic land of Galicia.
Direct flights to Santiago are now available with Ryanair from London, Rome and
Frankfurt. Iberia and Spanair operate service to most Spanish destinations so you can arrange connecting flights to Santiago,
especially from Madrid and Barcelona for
international arrivals. Air Europa also provides some European routes.
The airport is only 12km north east of the city.
On this city break to Santiago de Compostela you will arrive at
Santiago airport then take a bus or taxi into the city.
You will be staying at the 4
star Hesperia Compostela which is a short stroll from the historic centre of
this UNESCO World Heritage City. The city break also includes a full day
excursion by
luxury motor coach to one of several exciting destinations in the vicinity of
Santiago.

DAY 1:

arrival at Santiago De Compostela airport you make your own way to your hotel
(private transfers can be arranged on
request).
- Check in at your hotel
- The rest of the day you are free to explore the historic city on your own
- Lunch and Dinner on your own
- Overnight in Santiago De Compostela
DAY 2:

Breakfast
- Enjoy a full day guided excursion (about 9 hours) in a fully equipped luxury
motor coach. The specific tour you take will
depend on your days of travel as follows:
Mondays - Rias Altas (High Estuaries)
Tuesdays & Saturdays - Rias Baixas (Low Estuaries)
Wednesdays & Sundays - Finisterre (Lands End)
Thursdays - Lugo and St James Way
Fridays - Vigo and Portugal

Check out after breakfast
- Transfer to Santiago airport for your return flight home (private transfers
can be arranged on request).
