Reserve Cordoba Parador |
The Parador of Cordoba lies at the foot of the Cordoba mountain
range. It is a relatively new building situated on the ruins
of the small summer palace of Abderramán I. From the Parador
there are splendid panoramic views over the whole city of Cordoba
but something to bear in mind is that the hotel is located some 3km
from the historical heart of the city so isn't an ideal choice
unless you're happy to travel back and to by taxi.
In summer it can prove advantageous to stay this short distance
outside the city as it enjoys a temperature 4şC lower. The swimming
pool is a welcome advantage to staying here after a few hours
sightseeing in the intense heat of Cordoba. The gardens are very
pleasant and it was here that the first palm trees planted in Europe
maybe found.
The inner rooms are elegant and very bright, with large living rooms
and spacious bedrooms. The dining room offers typical Cordobés
dishes including salmorejo cordobés and gazpacho blanco de
almendras.
