Antequera Parador |
The Antequera Parador, located inland from Malaga, is a
spacious, quiet Parador with beautiful green gardens and a swimming pool.
From here you can visit some of Europe's largest megalithic dolmens which
stand on the outskirts of the town and El Torcal, where you can see some
weird and wonderful rock formations. The town of Antequera itself is very
interesting with many monuments from the Moslem era.
In the restaurant visitors can sample traditional local dishes such as 'porra
antequera' (cold vegetable soup), gazpacho (Andalusian cold soup), a cod
dish called 'pío antequerano' and 'bienmesabe' (type of sponge cake).
