Nerja is the most easterly resort on Spain’s Costa del Sol and while perhaps not as famous as the likes of Torremolinos it is thriving. Formerly a small fishing village it has grown over the years to accommodate tourists but it still retains much of its original charm.
Catering mainly for families Nerja does not have the abundance of British bars and restaurants that are found on the western Costa del Sol but there are a few if that is what you are looking for.
