Costa del Sol Villa Holidays
A great selection of luxury family villas on Spain's Costa del Sol. |
On the most easterly point of Spain's Costa del Sol is the popular resort of
Nerja with its spectacular views from the beach towards the beautiful Sierra de
Almijara mountains. Here we have recommended a few Nerja Hotels which you can
book online at discount prices.
Some guide books will tell you that Nerja is still an unspoilt fishing
village. Maybe that was the case 20 years ago but not today as tourists head
there all year round to enjoy somewhere in the region of 320 days of sunshine. Having said that, Nerja has avoided the excesses of mass tourism and is
nothing like the high rise resorts of the western Costa del Sol.
There are also some excellent villas which you can find on our
Nerja Villas page. Or if you prefer a
self-catering apartment take a look at our
Nerja Apartments page. Another option for budget travellers is to stay in a
nice
family run hostel which is far cheap which is far cheaper than the alternatives.
Nerja Parador
The Nerja Parador is a modern parador located on a cliff next to the sea and
can be reached from Burriana beach by means of a lift. Set in lush, green
gardens with a beautiful swimming pool it is in a perfect spot for exploring the
beautiful town of Nerja with its Balcon de Europa which extends into the sea.
Other activities which can be enjoyed here are a visit to the Nerja Cave, a
visit to the white town of Frigiliana and numerous water sports. The bedrooms
have spacious, comfortable terraces overlooking the gardens and the sea.
In the restaurant visitors can try the some excellent regional dishes such as 'fritura
de pescaítos' (small fried fish), white shrimps and for dessert 'gachas' ice
cream.
