Mallorca's east coast is populated with dozens of small coves and beautiful
bays. Tourism is well developed here and is more geared towards family holidays
than the rowdy resorts of the south coast:

There are great beaches along the north east coast and controlled tourism
development has led to some very attractive resorts. Many activities are
available and the are is popular with walkers, birdwatchers and cyclists.

North West Coast Resorts ...
There aren't really any resorts as such along the rugged northwest coast.
This is an area of beautiful mountains and rocky cliffs dropping down to the
wild sea below. The area is popular with day trippers and there's plenty
accommodation available if you prefer to be away from the traditional resorts.

Obviously Mallorca is very much a summer destination with resorts completely
packed during the peak July and August months. Personally I'm a big fan of
May/June and September as a time to travel as it isn't so hot and the resorts
aren't quite as busy. Many people make the most of the mild year round climate
and take an extended winter break in Mallorca. take a look at our report on a
