Madrid Walking Tours
The main attractions of Madrid's art circuit are all within easy walking
distance of the city centre.
The top three galleries (Prado, Thyssen Bornemisza and Reina Sofia museums)
are all on or just off Paseo del Prado.
You can arrange for a private guide to show you around any combination of
these three galleries as well as the Royal Palace if you wish.
Typically the tour begins with a stroll around Old Madrid including Plaza
Mayor then you head to the Royal Palace which is a fine example 18th century
Italian architecture.
Leaving the Royal Palace you'll head to Plaza de Oriente, Iglesia de San
Francisco, Plaza de la Paja, the Ayuntamiento, Plaza Mayor, C/Santa Isabel,
Atocha Railway Station, Paseo del Prado and the Retiro Gardens.
Typically you would visit two of the three galleries in one afternoon as all
three would be too much to take in on one afternoon.
Below are a few suggested art tours.
