Located approximately 170km off the east coast of Spain, Ibiza is the most westerly of the Balearic Islands and probably the most famous for a wild nightlife. Lying in the Mediterranean the climate makes this a great choice of holiday destination from about May to October although the weather can still be very sunny outside of these months.
As you can see from the map of Ibiza below the airport is in the south of the island and this may affect your choice of resort.
The main resorts for partying are San Antonio and Playa d’en Bossa and if you are looking for a quiet time you should avoid these during the high peak holiday season. For families you may want to try Santa Eulalia or even the tiny resort of Portinatx on the north coast.
