Ibiza Holidays
It may come as a surprise to many but Ibiza holidays are an option for
every age group. Such has been the dreadful reputation that the island has
earned as a result of countless media articles and sensationalist TV programmes
such as 'Ibiza Uncovered' that many people rule out the island as an
option when planning their holidays.
Ibiza is a stunningly beautiful island with fabulous beaches and quaint coves
all around its coastline. The capital of the island,
Ibiza Town, is a lovely town with a charming old quarter and some of the
island's best nightlife. This nightlife is centred on top quality nightclubs
such as Pacha and El Divino which bear little resemblence to the
scenes of debauchery portrayed by the sensationalist British press.
Ibiza clubs are amongst the best in the world and
attract music and club enthusiasts from all over the world.
For single people and couples who want to enjoy the beach, the nightlife and
the island but don't consider themselves to be potential stars of the next
'Ibiza Uncovered' series then the best place to stay is either in Ibiza Town
itself or just on the outskirts at the small beach resorts of
Talamanca or
Figueretas. Neighbouring Playa d'en Bossa
in many ways has the best of all worlds being on Ibiza's longest beach just
minutes from Ibiza Town and the airport and
yet home to the amazing Space nightclub and renowned Bora Bora beach club. These
places do attract a varied bunch of international visitors of all ages who are
attracted to one of Europe's hottest holiday spots.
If the Ibiza you're looking for is in fact the 'lager lout' variety then
San Antonio is the place for you. In the peak
summer months it's packed with mainly young British tourists looking for a good
time. Drunkenness and street fights make it a place to avoid for most mature
holidaymakers during this period. However, just to the south is San Antonio
Bay and Port d'es Torrent which are popular with families.
One of the best Ibiza holiday destinations for families is
Santa Eulalia on the east coast which is large
enough to cater for a good range of visitors but is particularly popular with
families. The nearby resorts of Es Cana (home of the
weekly 'hippy market') and Cala Llonga are also
suited to family holidays. Further north there are small bays extending along
the whole coastline to Portinatx and there are some
beautiful inland villages amongst the dense forest of the interior which is well
worth renting a car and getting out to see.
You can book
Ibiza hotels independently to any of the places mentioned above but more
often than not the best deals on Ibiza holidays are all inclusive deals offered
by the main tour operators listed below.
