Gay Ibiza
If you are travelling to Ibiza for their gay-friendly atmosphere, great food,
and fun atmosphere then you are on the right path. It must be said however that
you have no idea what you are in for until you actually arrive on the island.
Infamous for its boisterous atmosphere, friendly people, and acceptance for open
gayness your Ibiza holiday is unlike any trip you will ever take in your life.
If you are at a loss for what to do, what to see, and where to enjoy yourself
when you get to Ibiza we have got you covered. Be prepared for the fact that you
may want to extend your stay—a long weekend is just not enough time for a person
to enjoy everything this island has to offer!
Gay Friendly Accommodations in Ibiza
Unlike many other gay-friendly hotel accommodations in the world, Ibiza is home
to hotels that are not only gay friendly, but some that are even gay exclusive.
The Hotel Marigna is truly a sight to behold, complete with a full hotel bar,
single accommodations for those who need it, balcony rooms, a rooftop Jacuzzi
and even a sauna!
The Cenit is another great hotel for those who come to Ibiza for the gay fun.
While it isn't a gay exclusive hotel, the summer months make it hard pressed for
straight folks to find a room—as if they would want to. This is a big one, with
63 rooms, more than 50 apartments and ten floors of fun. It is located in
Figueretes, just minutes from the downtown fun when you feel like getting away
from your room.
The Hotel Ibiza Playa is not necessarily gay-friendly, but it is close to the
action and full of guests of your persuasion. There are more than 150 rooms
spread across a span of eight floors, and guests can make use of a hotel bar, a
swimming pool, and even a fitness room. If you feel like splurging, take
advantage of the beautiful sea view that the Hotel Ibiza Playa offers so you can
look—even if you don't feel like touching.
If four star hotels are more your style, you will love the Hotel Los Molinos,
situated right on the Ibiza shoreline. Here, you can make use of your own
bathroom and mini bar, air conditioning, and even a sea view if you choose to
opt for one. A sauna and Jacuzzi give Los Molinos guests a great way to relax
and pamper themselves after a hot, sweaty night and although they aren't
necessarily a gay-exclusive hotel they are close to all of the action as
well—just minutes from downtown. Feeling sick? This one even has a doctor on
call.
The Ibiza Nightlife
For those who love the gay nightlife in their home town (or hate it, for that
matter), the gay nightlife in Ibiza is to die for. Amnesia, Eden, Pacha and
Privilege are some of the hottest clubs on this Mediterranean island. Love,
Space, and El Divino are hot clubs as well, mixing the best music from Hip Hob,
Garage, Two-Step, and Dance music. No matter what your taste in music, there is
a club for you on Ibiza, full of beautiful people and even better drinks.
Have a Drink in an Ibiza Bar
If nightclubs really aren't your thing but you still want to have a drink, Ibiza
is home to more bars that you would think possible for such a small island.
Depending on the ambiance you seek, Pier1 is a popular one, as is Mirage. Many people of the gay persuasion have their drinks and great
conversation at Jacaranda, and Nags Head is another popular bar in that area.
Take a walk down the streets of this small island and you will find more bars
than you ever wanted to see in your life.
For a tiny island stretching no more than twenty miles in either direction,
Ibiza has a lot going on. From bars to nightclubs and gay friendly (or
exclusive) hotels, there is nothing quite like it.
Find out for yourself why this is the number one destination for gay people in
the world!
