Granada Excursions

When you visit Granada the number one attraction on your list of things to do will be to visit the stunning Alhambra Palace. If you're only there for a day then discovering the Alhambra will take up all your time.  If you wish to go it alone you can can pre-book Alhambra tickets and visit the palaces independently. A better option is to get on one of the Alhambra Tours as there's so much to learn about the Palaces that you won't find out on your own. If there's a group of you it's a great idea to get your official guide. These very knowleageable and friendly locals feel a real passion for the Alhambra Palaces and are a delight to take a tour with. Please note that whether you want to visit the Alhambra independently or whether you prefer to go on a scheduled or private tour it's important to book in advance. The Alhambra has a limited number of tickets per day which often sell out during peak holiday periods so don't leave this booking until the last minute. To go to Granada and miss the Alhambra is something you will long regret. We've had people contact us at the last minute looking for tickets but they simply aren't available. Plan ahead!

Other Granada City Tours

If you're making more than a fleeting visit to Granada then get on the Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour which takes you araound all the city's main sights including the Alhambra, the Albaicin and the Gran Via where the Cathedral lies. The Historical Granada Sightseeing Tour is highly recommended if you're interested in learning more about the fascinating Moorish history associated with the city.

In the past ten years or so more and more Arabic businesses have set up in Granada including some great tea rooms and Arab baths. A unique opportunity on your visit is to join the Alhambra and Arab Bath experience which includes a guide tour of the Alhambra in the morning followed by a relexing Arab bath in the afternoon. Full Day Granada Excursions

There are some other great day excursions that can be arranged from Granada including trips to Seville or Cordoba. These cities cannot be included on the same day excursion as there's simply too much to see in both of these magnificent Moorish cities.

Closer by you can take fascinating trips into the Alpujarras mountains or a drive down to the Costa Tropical and Nerja where you can visit the famous Nerja Caves.

Granada Airport Transfers

Pre-book Granada airport transfers and have a driver waiting for you on arrival. A regular bus service connects the airport arrivals lounge to the city centre and there are always plenty of taxis willing to drive you the 17km.

Alhambra Tickets

The Alhambra attracts over 2 million visitors a year and tickets do sell out on certain dates.  Buying tickets on the same day as your visit often involves a long queue in the hot sun early in the morning.  Therefore, you should reserve Alhambra tickets in advance.
