Name of Course: Aloha Golf Architect: Javier Arana Address:

The Alhoa golf course can be found in the Nueva Andalucia
Urbanisation which is 8km west of Marbella and 3km inland from
Puerto Banus. Designed by Javier Arana, one of Spain's most famous
golf course architects, this 18 hole, par 72 course has narrow
fairways lined by trees and difficult greens which challenge players
of all levels. It is a natural course and the many lakes and streams
dotted around make accuracy an important aspect to any game played
here.
The Penablanca mountain in the background along with the varied
vegetation and water features make this a very pretty course to
play.
There is a driving range with putting green and a 9 hole short
course for beginners or those wishing to practise before playing a
round on the course.
Many golf courses in this area are private member clubs and are not
open to the public but the Aloha Golf Club do allow members of the
general public to use the course especially from May to September,
but you must be sure to book in advance and don't forget your
handicap cards.
Members are always given priority and non-members may find it
difficult to get a tee time in the busier months such as November
and April.
The 5 star Gran Hotel Melia Don Pepe is located near the course and
is a good choice for people intending to play a few rounds in this
area.
