Malaga airport transfers
Malaga international airport lies 6km west of the city. Transfers to your final
destination are available by bus, train, taxi and private transfer.
Private Transfers
You can pre-book
Malaga airport transfers with a low cost shuttle company and they will have
a driver waiting for you on arrival. All vehicle sizes are available and all
Costa del Sol destinations are covered as far as Gibraltar in the west and
Almunecar in the east.
Usually,
Malaga airport transfers services are as cheap as public taxis from Malaga
airport. In addition you get a professional service where you know how much you
will pay before your arrival.
By Bus
Bus stops are outside Terminal 1 arrivals and Terminal 2 departures. There are bus services every 30 minutes between the airport and Paseo
del Parque in the centre of Malaga.
From Malaga's central bus station there are services to all major
destinations including Seville, Granada, Cordoba and Ronda. There are also
regular services to Marbella departing
from the same bus stops.
By Train
There is a RENFE (www.renfe.es) train
station opposite Terminal 2 with regular services to Fuengirola (via
Torremolinos and Arroyo de la Miel) and Malaga city centre. It is well signed
inside the airport.
By Taxi
There's no shortage of taxis at Malaga airport. Approximate fares are as
follows:
Torremolinos € 18
Benalmádena Costa € 25
Fuengirola € 40
Mijas Costa € 46
Marbella € 78
Puerto Banús € 94
San Pedro € 98
Estepona € 118
Gibraltar € 192
Nerja € 88
Ronda € 157
Malaga Airport Car Rental
Many visitors find renting a car a better deal than arranging transfers from
Malaga airport. In this case it pays to book your car rental in advance before
arriving at Malaga airport as you'll get much better deals online than in the
arrivals lounge where spot rental deals with the better known rental companies
is by far the most expensive option.
The best deals are available from online car rental brokers who are able to
secure the best deals from the main car rental suppliers.
Holiday Autos is the world’s largest online car rental broker. They
select only the best car rental companies in Spain then negotiate the lowest
possible rates from them, passing the savings onto our customers in the form of
lower, fully inclusive prices.
Sometimes public transport in Malaga can be chaotic, especially during summer
and holidays, so we recommend you to use
Malaga
airport transfers to move around the Costa del Sol. The price of these
services is even lower than public taxis. In addition, all drivers speak English
and are fully licensed to provide private transfers in Spain. Private transfers
are the ideal alternative to car rental.
