Mijas is split into 2 parts:  Mijas Pueblo, a picturesque white village in the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas mountains, and Mijas Costa on the coast. 

Please note that a car is really a necessity if you stay in Mijas Pueblo if want to do any sightseeing in the area or indeed visit the blue flag beaches of Mijas Costa. Mijas 5 Star Hotels La Cala Golf & Spa Resort Located approximately 10 minutes by car from the beach in a beautiful setting in the hills. The building itself is situated between two of the La Cala golf courses with the rooms all having balconies with stunning views of the South Course. The buffet breakfast is excellent and there is a set menu option for lunch and dinner offering a variety of local and international dishes.
