Bruce Springsteen Tickets Barcelona
Legendary rock musician Bruce Springsteen and his long time collaborators the E
Street Band are going on a much-awaited world tour this year. It will be a
continuation of their very successful American tour promoting Springsteen’s
latest studio album, Magic. The tour, which kicked off on the 2nd of October
2007 in Hartford, Connecticut, will include several European dates in 2008. The
rock veteran and his band are slated to perform at different venues in countries
like the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Norway, Germany, Finland, Sweden, France,
Denmark, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has yet
again received acclaim for both the tour and the album in the last quarter of
2007 alone. Shows in Los Angeles, Minneapolis and New York, to name a few, left
both audiences and the press satisfied by Springsteen’s performances, which were
rockin’ as ever despite the fact that the artist is now in his late fifties. His
twenty-third album Magic at the same time enjoyed great success since its
release, even debuting at number one on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The record
has topped other charts in the US and Europe, and has been certified double
Platinum, Platinum and Gold in the countries included in the 2008 tour, as well
as in Australia, Austria, Canada, the Czech Republic, New Zealand, and
Switzerland.
Bruce Springsteen is currently nominated for three Grammy Awards for the album
Magic, particularly for Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song and Best Solo Rock Vocal
Performance (both for the hit song “Radio Nowhere”). He is likewise nominated
for Best Rock Instrumental Performance for “Once Upon A Time In The West” from
We All Love Ennio Morricone.
Springsteen, also popularly nicknamed “The Boss,” started his career towards the
beginning of the 70s and for decades has built a solid following in the folk and
rock genres. Some of his most recognizable songs include “Born To Run,” “Thunder
Road,” “Dancing In The Dark,” and “Streets Of Philadelphia.” Perhaps his most
recognizable album is the 1984 bestseller Born In The USA. Springsteen has been
touring and recording with the E Street Band since the group’s core members got
together in the early 70s.
Performing with Bruce Springsteen on this new tour are E Street Band members Roy
Bittan on keyboard, Clarence Clemons on sax and percussion, Steven Van Zandt and
Nils Lofgren on guitars, Patti Scialfa on vocals and guitar, Garry Tallent on
bass, and Max Weinberg on drums. Original E Street Band member and keyboardist
Danny Federici, who had played in the earlier dates of the tour, was announced
to be taking a leave of absence while he gets treated for melanoma. Sessions
Band member Charles Giordano, who has played with Springsteen before, will
temporarily handle keyboard duties in place of Federici until his return.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are expected to perform their songs from
Magic, including “Radio Nowhere,” “Long Walk Home,” and “Gypsy Biker,” as well
as some classic and well-loved Springsteen hits from previous albums. This is
their first tour together since 2003.
