of flamenco, bullfighting, taverns, wine and tapas on our tour of Moorish
Andalucia.
Our suggested itinerary includes the beautiful city of Granada with
its amazing Alhambra Palace, the charming city of Córdoba with its
beautiful flower covered patios and magnificent Mezquita, the magical
Andaluz capital of Seville and the picturesque town of Ronda up in the
mountains above the Costa del Sol.
Our tour also takes us through the quaint, unspoilt countryside of the real
Spain including the olive plantations of Jaén Province and the route of the
'Pueblos Blancos' (white villages) in Cadiz.
Suggested Itinerary
DAY 1
On arrival at Malaga airport you will be met by a representative of
Spanish Fiestas and transferred to the city of Granada. After some sightseeing
you should go to the the Albaicín (Moorish quarter) for a spectacular view of
the Alhambra with the Sierra Nevada mountains in the background.
DAY 2
This morning you can take a private tour of the magnificent Alhambra Palace,
the jewel of Moorish Spain. After lunch we head across the olive plantations of
Jaén province arriving in the late afternoon in Cordoba.
DAY 3
This morning we visit the highlight of
Cordoba which is the Mezquita, the grandest mosque ever constructed by
the Moors in Spain. After lunch we head to Seville via Carmona. This evening you
should attend a flamenco performance at one of the popular 'tablaos' in Barrio
Santa Cruz.
DAY 4
This morning you will take a walking tour of old Seville and during the
course of the day visit the city's main attractions including the Cathedral,
Giralda, Alcazar and Plaza de España.
DAY 5
This morning we head down to Jerez to attend the performance of the dancing
horses at the the Andaluz School of Equestrian Art and/or take a tour of one of
the sherry wineries. We continue on via the oute of the 'Pueblos Blancos' to
Ronda.
DAY 6
After a morning in Ronda we head down to Malaga where you can go straight to
the airport to catch your flight or stay the night and spend the afternoon
visiting the city's highlights including the Picasso museum.
