Almunecar Nightlife
Almunecar nightlife is hardly rowdy, especially during the winter months and
in the midweek. However, there are a couple of areas worth a mention for weekend
nightlife in the town centre.
Plaza Kelibia is a popular square in the
old town which is surrounded by tapas bars and disco bars which attract a lively
crowd. It's a good place to enjoy a few tapas before heading over to Bar Jabeque
on the seaward side of the square where the drinks often flow until sunrise at
weekends.
For a younger crowd the place to go late on a Friday and
Saturday is known as 'Los Bajos del Paseo' at the end of Playa Puerta del Mar.
Here there's a selection of loud music 'copas bars' at beach level. During the
summer months there's also an open air disco next to the waterpark at the end of
Playa Velilla called Aqua-Noche.
A good night out is at Venta Luciano
which is about 3km out of town along the Jete/Otivar road. They arrange regular
flamenco evenings with an all inclusive price including drinks and barbecue.
You'll see them advertising their shows all over town, otherwise take a look at
their website at Venta
Luciano.

Three bedroom house for rent with sea views from the roof terrace. 5 minute walk to beach & restaurants. |
Malaga Airport Car Hire
If you're driving to Almunecar you'll find great car rental deals with Economy Car Hire at Malaga Airport. |
Apart from these options you'll find a fair selection of
decent restaurants in Almunecar and a wide
selection of Almunecar tapas bars that make for a
good 'tapas crawl'.
There are a handful of British style pubs but in general this is a Spanish
town attracting mainly Spanish tourists so if you're looking for a Costa del Sol
style holiday with a wild nightlife Almunecar is not for you. However, it's
ideal for relaxed family holidays.
