Almunecar lies 90km east of Malaga airport. Transfers are available by taxis on arrival or by pre-booked private cars. There are no train services in this direction and although buses are quite frequent they leave from Malaga’s central bus station so you’d need to get yourself into the city first. Most arrivals book a rental car before travelling as there are plenty good deals to be had these days.

Buses to Almunecar: An economy option is to take a bus from the airport to Malaga bus station. Look for the “Linea A Express” service which takes about 25 minutes and runs about every 30 minutes. Malaga Airport Car Hire
The majority of visitors to Almunecar choose to rent a car at Malaga airport then drive the 90km along the A7 motorway. We’ve used many car rental companies over the years and would suggest that the best we’ve come across are Zest Car Rental.
